Silver Makers Marks.

Antique Silver from British Silversmiths has a distinct advantage over many other countries of manufacture due to the British Hallmarking System. There are many good reference books on the subject available to be purchased.

The purpose of this catalogue is to list and identify items of silver that we offer for sale at Silver2treasure. We have stock which changes daily and often collect photographs of uncommon as well as common British Silversmiths Marks.

By creating this online catalogue I hope to mainain a pictoral reference for the benifit of Silver2treasure customers. (All photographs are from past or current stock and copywright of Silver2treasure).

This catalogue will be commenced in January 2009 and will grow over the months as new listings become available. By its nature it cannot be a comprehensive list but we hope it will quickly fill with the more common makers and provide a useful reference.

The acccuracy of any entry is based on our best research and should not be used for any purpose other than as a guide. Whilst we do our best to authenticate the entries they are researched from reference books and other sources that I cannot be responsible for their accuracy.

The Catalogue will be based alphabetically by the makers marks, Click on the letter below and it will take you to the page displaying the relevent maker.

Many pages will be blank in the early stages of developing these pages so please be patient. (LINKS WILL NOT BE LIVE UNTIL CONTENT IS ADDED)
