Antique Silver Sardine Tongs Hallmarked Birmingham 1890 offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

They have a very pretty decorative floral engraved pattern around the handle and in the centre of each side there is a pierced shape. The oval shaped tongs are each engraved with a sardine. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks. Makers Marks: H & T (Hilliard & Thomason).

Dimensions: 4.5 inches long in total, the tongs 1.5 inches wide and 0.5 inches in depth. they weigh 35g.

Condition: They are in very good condition with just some very light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item and is commensurate with age and use, but this is very minor.

Remarks: A very good antique Victorian pair of solid silver 120 year old sardine tongs.
