Silver Cream Jug Boat Shape Hallmarked London 1814 Georgian offered for sale by silver2treasure.

This is a good Antique Solid Silver Georgian Good Size Cream Jug. It is of a boat shape with a plain nipped in band to the top and a gadrooned rim. It stands on 4 ball feet. The hallmarks are very clear apart from the makers marks which the first letter is rubbed.

Assay Office: LONDON

Date: 1814

Makers Marks: The first letter is rubbed so I can only see the 2nd letter which is a "W"

Dimensions: 5.5 inches long from lip to handle, the actual body 3.5 inches long, 2.75 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It weighs 127g

Condition: It does have a few minor dings and dents and a few deep scratches to the base. Three of the feet where they join the body have been repaired. Having described the above this does sound far worse than it actually is as this is a good very useable cream jug

Remarks: A good antique Georgian 195 year old solid silver good size cream jug, ideal for use but will be of particular interest to collectors of good Georgian silver.
