Silver Teaspoon John Lampfert circa 1764 – 1772

Silver Teaspoon John Lampfert circa 1764 - 1772 offered for sale by silver2treasure.

This is a lovely Antique Solid Silver Teaspoon. It has a shell decoration to the bowl and a feather edge pattern running around the outline of the front of the handle. It has the old english pattern to the back of the handle. It does have a very fancy entwined engraving in the top of the handle which I think is "JC". As with some very old silver they did not hallmark with the complete set of marks and this spoon just has the lion passat and the makers marks which date it to circa 1764-1772 and would have been London

Makers Marks: JL (John Lampfert)

Dimensions: Just over 4.5 inchews long, the bowl 1.5 inches long and 0.75 inch wide. It weighs 16g

Condition: It is in very good condition

Remarks: A super little antique Georgian solid silver spoon being over 200 years of age. A nice additition to any collection.
