Silver Butter Knife Hallmarked Sheffield 1937

0

Silver Butter Knife Hallmarked Sheffield 1937 offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

This is a good Solid Silver Butter Knife. It has a pretty engraved pattern running around the outline of both sides of the handle which includes an inner beaded decoration. It does have an engraved "W" in the top of the handle. It is made from a good guage of silver and has crisp clear hallmarks.

Assay Office: SHEFFIELD

Date: 19137

Makers Marks: T.B & S (Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd)

Dimensions: 4.5 inches long and it weighs 12g

Condition: It is in very good condition with just some very light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item but this is very minor

Remarks: A very petty little solid silver butter knife and a very useable item

Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in "as new condition".
