Silver Basket Swing Handled Hallmarked Birmingham 1920 Walker & Hall offered for sale by silver2treasure.

This is a beautiful Solid Silver Circular Swing Handled Basket. The circular holder has a very decorative bright cut open work decoration to the sides with a gadrooned pattern running around the top rim and it is raised on 4 bracket feet. The pretty swing handle has a pierced decoration in the centre and it is raised on bracket feet. It has one fancy shaped cartouche which is still blank so it could be personalised and it comes with its blue glass liner

Makers Marks: W & H (Walker & Hall)

Dimensions: 4.5 inches in diameter, just over 2.5 inches tall when the handle is down and just over 5 inches tall when the handle is in the upright position. It weighs 110g (without the blue glass liner)

Condition: It is in lovely condition

Remarks: A very pretty and highly decorative solid silver swing handled basket, ideal for use as a sugar bowl, cream dish, bon bon dish etc and when not in use a beautiful display item
