Silver Makers Marks can be hard to identify especially with some items of Antique Silver. I have therefore decided to create a photographic catalogue of all silver makers marks that I record on items of silver we sell through our antique silver business.

This is to be a long term project and will record the picture of the mark and makers details as best as I can establish. This will not obviously be totally comprehensive but should ensure the more prolific silver makers marks are documented for all my blog and website readers.

I have also decided to catalogue all the European Hallmarks I photograph in the same way. I also intend in time to document other marks such as Chinese and American etc. But for now the focus will be makers marks from the UK. This will compliment my British Hallmarks page.

Whilst the internet is a good research tool you cannot be without a good reference book. The below books are offered for sale on Amazon and are all worth a read.
